Simplest swap is a 74-78 13B, good luck finding a complete one. Next on the list would be a carbed 84/85 13B from an SE, they came with FI.
Since I don't feel like pulling teeth to get backgound info tonight, post your hp goals, intended use for the car, skill level, and budget. If you can't post more than one sentence at a time, then start reading up on your own.
I sent my crystal ball out months ago for cleaning and polishing, it still hasn't come back yet.

if you're replacing the 12a with a 13b, why not just grab the tranny from said motor while you're at it? there will be some gains to be had and you won't have to fuss with the swap if it's not a direct match-up.

I want better fuel economy and more displacement. I would consider the whole tranny swap too but i'm having a hard time finding 2 good candidates. I think i have a line on a local guy selling h is 88 with a 13b for 2grand canadian. I don't have any use for the car but it only has 130,000k 80 some odd miles i guess. That's probably the way to go. Plus i can sell the rest of the car and my existing enging to make my money back.
