Possible 12A going bad?
I was messing around with my alternator making sure the belt was tight and i was rotating the alternator by hand when i noticed that the engine was rotating also. Car was in nuetral. There was almost no effort in rotating the engine. Now the car has pretty good power and starts runs idles all fin whats up with that? Also saw a post for a S5 Turbo II engine for cheap that runs. Would it be better to swap that into my car?

Ok sweet. Just got a reply on the turbo II engine. Not just one but two. Ones blown the other runs. Looked at some posts to do the swap just wondering if would be fessible to do in a short amount of time. Its my DD, And its a sweep deal for two turbo II engines.

any engine swap outside of one like was in it originally is not going to be just a simple remove, install and then go drive. and depending on ur knowledge and ability, a t2 swap and take months to complete. and as for that ability to turn the engine by hand, yes u can. rotary engine doesn't really build compression til it's spun with the starter.

Alright that clears things up really well. I thought i was in the OMG im screwed bubble. The S5 engine swap, If i were to get everything before hand and get things prepped to could it be done quickly? I know id need the diff cover and the oil pan, pick up and somehow get a hold of a wiring harness and strip it down and what not. I am pretty knowledgeable, Feed me info and see what happens lolz. Would it be possible to use the turbo II parts modify them to fit the 12A and be done?

running a nikki blow through turbo would be a lot easier to install, no removal of the motor necessary.. your current motor is fine by the sound of it, if you really want to make sure then compression test it

I thought that too. But idk what I need to do boost prep the nikki. The tubo II would be all done and I would just need to fit it in my car

Your motor could be a little down on compression, probably due to carbon buildup. I run a can of Seafoam through the tank every couple of months to keep the carbon in check, and it does a great job.
Don't try to get fancy and dump it down the carb, or feed it in through a vacuum line though. That just makes a huge cloud and wastes the product you paid good money for. Just dump it in the tank and drive.
