how can you tell if a 12a is ported mild wild and bridged.
also what size is the carburators air cleaner mating service.

damn iwas hpping for a simpler way i know the bridge has a certain sound the brum brum brum at least thats what i always hear on the videos. is there someway to tell if it is just not a stock port at all?

ill check tomorrow im getting a new intake and exhaust gasket in the morn. ive been driving the car for a while and i met a few guys out here in odessa that have some very nice 7s we lined them up and i almost litteraly blew their doors off. just got me to wandering what the PO may have done to this thing.

well ive pulled the intake and it is awfully smooth, almost like it is plated but the engine doesnt have any mechanical problems so a teardown is out of the question. ill try to post some pics when i can get some that are nice and clear, the batt on my digi cam is fried i think, so its taking pretty crappy pics.

just for thought... if you're not sure of the porting, and not to the point of a rebuild then I'd HIGHLY recomend a wideband for tunning that carb. If you've got a large streetport and tune the carb for a stockport and run it hard in the texas heat, there's a good chance you can pop the engine from running too lean..... wideband=cheap insurance
