Please help me find the PWR window Relay write-up..

Hello, So the work on the car continues.... my power windows were all jacked up, off the track, old weatherstripping, slow to move & ETC.... I had a local mobile 'window repair' guy buy for me used, well, new to me, window regulators.. they even came with good used motors & I am running them.

I AM LOOKING FOR THE WINDOW SWITCH RELAY MODIFICATION WRITE-UP..... I have searched this forum high & low and I can't seem to find it. any help is greatly appreciated. .

After installation & repair, the windows barely move when You use the switch.... the guy put 12v directly to the window motor...& BAM!!! window went up & down like a brand new car! This is one of the big issues that is going to determine if this car is a keeper, or not. a few more big items & then I'll know she is worth investing a few more bucks into. Along with trying to adjust the steering gear tonight.. LOL

Thanks.

Another one, with wiring diagram: Gen 1 Rx7 fast power windows - SOLUTION - AusRotary

IMO this version is better, as the relays are hidden away in the doors, causing less bulk on the carpet and making window switch removal easier.

Hey folks, I have one more question... I wish to replace the window switches as well.... Now, what type of switch do I need... after seeing the diagram...I think I need dual throw single pole. Yes?

I have bought some dpdt--dual throw dual pole (two devices controlled?) & some dual throw single pole ( think) , I can't find those at the moment. Is the dual throw mean it has the 'off' in the middle & on at each movement of the switch.. (single powered device) hence 'single pole'?

thank You... these switches confuse me sometimes.....LOL.

measured only a couple of volts leaving the OEM switch when putting driver window up.... definitely not getting enough juice to the window motors....

You want a DTPT Momentary switch. Not not saying get this switch, it's just an example. https://www.delcity.net/store/Power-...yABEgJCL_D_BwE

If the factory switches work, just use them in conduction with the relays. The relays will remove the high current from going through the switches because they will only be driving the reply.

well, I'd really like to replace the switches too.. I have a nice aluminum piece to install them into that fits the console very nice...

I think I'll go with the OEM switches that are already in the car...at first, just for the hell of it..get it going, than move to the new switches, sometime in the future... Planing to put the relays in the 'smugglers' compartment & just run wires under the carpet to where it needs to go. New carpet is just about next on the list!!!

So, I need a DPDT MOMENTARY 3 position switch. Yea?

again, thank You for all of Your help... one day this thing is going to be BADASS~!!! LOL

Just search for Power Window switch. You'll find all kinds of them. You can even get modules to make them one-touch up/down like modern cars.

Thx... I just want some simple aircraft / boat style... just the simple metal ones... I like them... neat & clean. I don't need any fancy stuff in this thing... Thats what my 2015 truck is for. LOL...

It's just the spdt, dpdt, etc thing just kinda has me a bit confused...but I think I have it figured out. .

Thanks
