I replaced my fuel pump and still no power to it, I did the little jumper wire thing and made the pump work, car wont start, but gas starts pouring out of underneath neer catalytic converter...once I take the jumper wire off and try to start it it fires up and then dies.....did I reverse something?

Sounds like you replaced the fuel pump with a high pressure unit, which is now overpowering the carb and pushing your fuel right out the exhaust.
Once you get that corrected, you probably need to perform a major deflooding and some new plugs.
You might want to read this article to help understand what your options are with fuel pumps, and what is needed to correct a high pressure situation: https://www.rx7club.com//showthread.php?t=529605
