Planned 400hp fb gslse

So in the next yr and a half i plan on doing alot to my gslse. My pan is to achieve 400hp. I think i should go about that by bridge porting it (by racing beat) and turboing it. If you know a better place that does bridgeports please let me know. Should i keep my 13b ( i believe its a RE-EGI) and bridge port it, or should i get say a 3rd gen motor and bridge port it? plus i think i will need a better tranny, perhaps a 2nd gen tranny? perhaps a 2nd or 3rd gen diff? I need a list what i need for this project maybe a book? Basically whats the fastest way to 400hp with out compromising reliablity and toughness. Motor? turbo? tranny? diff? those are the 4 things im not sure on. PLEASE HELP??????

It's putting out 390 rwhp AFTER dialling back the boost to allow for the old clutch (Centerforce Dual-friction), which couldn't handle all the motor could do. With the new ACT, it's just a matter of turning up the wick a bit.

If your car is in fairly good shape - defined as "good for a daily driver" - I could take it as a trade-in. PM me, if you're interested.

Hey how are you doin. Here is my combo a 3rd gen. street ported with a T-66 turbo haltech E6A computer 2 850cc pri and 2 1600cc sec. at 15psi I made 420 at the rear wheels on pump gas. I my opinion no need for a bridgeport cause you will lose drivablity. I changed my front cover used a gslse and gslse oil pan so no need to make mounts or any of that crap. Just make sure you have a good engine builder and a good tuner. Good Luck.

It might be hard to believe, but I bet that Atilla has well over 10k in that build. If the car is build right it is worth the time and money.

I would not reccomend a bridgeport. Run a ported s5/re/rew and put a large turbo on it like rotarynewbei suggested. Expect to spend 15k.

You win the bet--and that's just in hardware costs. Since I'm lazy, I have all the work done professionally. I don't want to talk about how many dollars are tied up in labor costs. I have to second your estimate on costs.
