anyway now that i got some pix... i was just wondering as to the type of transmission i have? it seems really different then most 5spd's as it seems to have to levels of gears. I know its a 1.1l rotary non turbo engine. and i'm just wondering how many mpg u guys seem to get?

not sure what you mean about the 5sp tranny question, but i usually get about 17mpg when i drive reasonably, and about 8-10mpg when i'm tearing it up.

nope. they're aftermarket. mine are especially cheap knockoffs of the basket weaves on the late '80s trans ams.

On a 800 mile trip cruising at 75mph I average 26-28mpg

Around regional cities it drops down to 22 mpg.

In metropolitan areas then 18mpg is normal.

Compared with other vehicles, fuel consumption is good at speed but drops-off badly when sitting in traffic.

This is on a stock 12a engine with a good header/exhaust and a modified Nikki carb.
