Pitman arm/power steering box questions

Hey guys,
Wondering what you guys have used for aftermarket/OE replacement pitman arms. The balljoint on mine is split open so it requires replacement. I was looking at Mazdatrix and I was unable to see pitman arm's for sale, but I have also heard they come with new steering boxes. I have also searched for Moog pitman arms (to go along with the moog comp idler i'm using). The pitman arm is the last component of the front end I need to address, any help is appreciated!

The second part of my question is related to a powersteering box. By any chance does anyone have a picture of one? I need to convert my car to powersteering because of the large tires up front and am thinking the stock setup would be the best route. I'm guessing the best way to accomplish this would be to use a TII PS pump with custom lines going to a FB power steering box?

Also are the pitman arms for the power steering box and manual box the same?

Thanks

The FB pump lines go to the steering sector, the FC lines go to the R&P. The pumps appear to mount the same, but in differing locations, FB pump is below ac comp, FC is above it. I don't know if I have bracket from both to test fit for swap compatability.

I do know on the FB pumps, 1 line is high pressure, the other low. I don't know if the FC pump is the same. I have ps on both the 1st and 2nd gens. I can get pics tomorrow.

Do you have a repair manual (haynes or mazda)?

the pitman arm is definitely replaceable. It's on there real tight, I think the torque setting in the mazda fsm is like 103 ft/lbs or something, so imagine after 20 years of being stuck on. I got mine from Victoria British aka Black Dragon automotive. don't know about the moog. If they say it fits, it should, it's not special.

and trochoid forgot to mention his sig has links to the Mazda FSM

Dan, i believe that all the pitman arms are the same, whether power or not. Why don't you just get a Se pump and box. It will go right in with no problem.

Forgot to add. The Gsl's also had an option for P/S.
