Talking Pictures of my latest addition

Here are some pictures of my latest addition. It is a 82 GS model. No commnets about it being an Automatic, and no it is not getting ANY modifications,LOL. It has alittle over 66k on the odometer. It's an original Ca car and i have all the documents of the original sale from the dealer and all the dealer brochures at that time. The only thing not original in the interior is the radio which i will be searching for the original. The outside is completely original except for the antenna which also will be replacing. Notice the original pinstriping and the 3rd brake light. Came with the factory moonroof.

It appears as though the previous owner kept it in a garage and went out to turn it over for about a half hour everyday and that was about it. That's nice.
Now do a transmission swap.
No, that's a really nice find man. Definately leave a 24 year old all original car alone. That's got value.

Yes, i am truly lucky to find it. And yes it spent most of it's time in the garage waiting for the weekend to be driven according to the person i bought it from.

What are the badges on the rear center finish panel? I have noticed a variety of pinstriping on the 1st gens and have always wondered of they were factory or dealer options, as some never had them.

Auto or not, nice find and it's good to see a documented, (provenance), car kept original.

A lot that I have seen don't have pinstriping. Mine does because whomever painted it red over the brown put their own gold pin-striping on it. Looks pretty good.

The badges are something that the original owner put on form her country of origin. I am going to be sending these back to her. I also am going to be replacing the rear finsiher piece between the taillights. Ian is looking for a mint one for me.
The pinstriping is factory on this one and is even on the dealer invoice. It is the mazda styling of that era.
blwfly. Yes i considered putting a Gsl or se rearend under it and the Se supsension and the
spare 13b motor and my supercharger on it,lol. But it's gotta stay stock

Amazing find sir! though i am not a fan of the automatic, i fully understand why you made this purchase! its a very clean car that deserves to spend the rest of its days all original. the paperwork you have add to the originality and true feeling of the car(not to mention collector's value). very very nice my friend!

Nice car, although I hope you did not buy it as an investment. I may be worth something in another 24 years. I kinda wish I had another Rx-7 so that I could drive one as well as look at mine all torn apart in the garage.

That's where you are wrong about the value. There are not that many 1st gens out there in original condition with low mileage and original documentation.

i have a stock radio. not for your model but for your year it will fit. its the premium sound system eith electronic tuner and cassette tape in one deck and the graphic equalizer and joystick balancer along with 2 amps if u want. i think pinstriping was up to the dealer and doesnt the dealer pring out those invoice papers on the window? is a 3rd brake light dealer installed or factory? i never seen one of those before. but thats a very nice car! glad to hear you will be keeping it original!

Wow, nice interior, I like those better than the s3 int., esp. black.
California seems to be a virtual cornucopia of nice 7's.
