Talking pics of my new rb exhaust!!

well, a couple weeks ago, i put on my new racing beat exhaust and i couldn't be more happy with it!

got a few pics, and it looks awsome!!! too bad the finish doesn't last though

here's a pic when i first got it:

header-

header and presilencer, from under the car-

finally, the muffler and tips

thanks to everyone who contirbuted to my previous thread on installation tips. Install went easy, no major problems, and the 14mm swivel socket is a lifesaver!!
THANK YOU!

What makes you think the chrome plating won't last?

Hey, do you have to do emissions anymore? I have my 85 and I think CT is 25 years old before no emissions. Did you have to register as a classic? Give me the heads up.

It's still chrome plated and protected, even if it's rainbow colored.

yeah, in CT, you don't have to go to emissions if the car is 25 years or older, which is good, because now my car is 26 years old I bought it in new hampshire, and haven't registerd it yet, so i don't know if you have to register it as a classic. However, when i do register it, I'll try to get a classic plate. (same color scheme as my car- black and white)

txredneckmedic- www.racingbeat.com $650 for everything, including shipping to CT

the reason why the finish doesnt last is because of when you handle it with bare hands, to get a "bronze header" you have to wipe the header down with alcohol, then install it with either rubber or cloth gloves, DO NOT LET YOUR OILY FINGERS TOUCH IT! and youll have a really pretty header..

RB started chroming their exhaust stuff in the last few years. Not that they ever really rotted through after the old "burn-off" black paint was gone,RB's stuff has always been super thick and tough.
My old chrome 13B header never, ever peeled or rusted but yea,you have to wipe it down before the first fire-up, and after anytime you handle it......

Whoops, nice exhaust, we'll see about the car. But it looks like pure potential. I'm gonna get one of those RB exhausts one day.

yeah, well, it's a work in progress. In about a month, it should look better than new.

When painting a car, your car looks like total crap before it looks awsome (if you do a good job)
