Cool Paint it green?

I got bored and decided too see what an FB looks like green. I think it looks great on the SA in the mazda screen saver, and was thinking about painting my car that color when I restore it.

What do you guys think??

Sorry, i kinda suck at photoshop

That's actually not a bad color, and not a bad attempt at photochopping it in

I was actually considering painting my '79 that color once...

yeah, I really like it, the only thing that makes me think twice about it is tearing the car down to the bare frame to do it (although ill probably be tearing the car down to the frame anyways )

yeah, to do a complete color change, I would tear the car right down to base metal, and do it right. Get it bead blasted, and take care of any surface rust, etc before you paint it.

That looks like a great photoshop job to me!!

Lime green though??

How about a darker green?

Changing the color is so much work. What color is it now?

i know for a fact that i couldn't come anywhere close to doing that on photoshop, so yeah great job. as for the color, if u want to stand out, by all means go for it, but wow i could personally never drive something that bright. it looks alright and i like the rims but that color drives me away.

not as bad as the turbo rx7 in ebay i saw once. everyone remembers that one.

I don't think it's bright enough...

Seriously, though - I like it a lot. The photoshop job you did on it is convincing, and I wouldn't be surprised if you told me you just had your car painted green and there's the photo.

I think that if you want to 'modernize' your car, you're going to need to look at a color change. Many cars these days are offered with custom paint schemes, and these really set them apart as modern. I went with the full color switch on my SE because I wanted to be VISIBLE, as this makes it harder to get hit in traffic.

I think I accomplished my objective - good luck with yours,

I like it!

Go for it. There's something about the flashiness of that color that I like. It's almost so ugly that it looks good.

Believe it or not, that's a compliment.

I like it but think it would look better without the side moldings.

I had a chance to see up close and personal an 85 GSL painted British Racing Green. The interior color was brown leather (Miata seats). Ever see the special edition Miatas that were the same scheme? That's what he used, Miata paint, interior seats and had the carpet and panels customized. It was frekin gorgeous. IMO the best color with a brown interior, hands down. Wish I had a picture, 'cause it was major drool factor. If Mazda had come out with a scheme like that on the 1st gen's, it would have been a winner.

unfortunatly thats not my car in the picture . I dont remember whos it is, but it was silver.

anyway, i really like the bright green. I am going to go for it, but I need to find a car to paint first

elvisjer: i have a tomica 1:24 SA that is that color, but i think i would go a little brighter. (its what made me start to think about painting my car green!)

I really like longducks bright yellow car, i think these cars look extremely good with bright paint. (not many cars do, IMO)

I definatly want my car to stand out when i am done, i am going to smoke out the side markers and tail lights. I havent really thought much about rims, but i really like the panasports in the pic
