Question Pace Setter Headers... Are This Good Enough??

Are Pace Setter Headers good enough for a Rotary Engine???

I found two types of this headers for Rotary Engines in Summitracing.com and they have a great price; one pair is Steel, black painted and the other ones have a ceramic coating on them.

Does someone have experience with this exhaust systems?? Or do you recomend Racing Beat ones as well???

I really need your help with this...

Thanks a lot...

I wouldn't advise buying the Pacesetter unless you like grinding. Evidently they are really poorly welded together and you will have to do a lot of cleaning up to get any sort of flow out of them.

The RB headers are still fairly reasonable in price and are top quality. There's no reason to go with anything else for a street car.

I've also read (on this board) that the header Pacesetter will actually sap power. Racing Beat is the way to go, IMO.

If you're really broke and your car is a pos then a pace setter is probably better than stock. But if you have it coated, that bumps the price up to about that of the RB unit. And the RB header is way better.

I also vote on getting the racing beat exhaust I have it myself and it is awesome. I have actually heard of pacesetter headers eventually rusting striaght through...

RB is the only way to go. I have actually burned a hole through an early model Pacesetter (back in like 1988). Street ported 12A, Weber DCDs, and Pacesetter header, and the header totally blew out! Buy RB!

I've got a Pacesetter on my FC, and the welds are a bit large for my liking. If you can afford RB, buy it. I wish the guy I bought my car from had done it...

i know a few people using the pacesetter including myself, and its far more flow than stock, much cheaper and just as effective.

the coating is pretty pointless tho, the paint on mine baked off in a matter of a day. as for the welds, they look fine to me.
