Excellent! So you actually went gonzo and cut the towers, too, eh? How much time did it take to do all that and what did you use to cut the towers cleanly?

It looks like you riveted the bracket. Wasn't the RB kit supposed to be a bolt on affair?

Yeah, at first it gave me the chills just thinking about it. A fabricator friend of mine, the owner of Performance Solutions (behind Mazdatrix) did the work for me. He used a plasma torch to cut off the stock mounts, then he welded it from the bottom and the top. Welding is just as strong, if not stronger, and it won't ever loosen up and make noise.

Thanks.
250 lb. springs from g-force engineering are in the rear. I also trimmed the bump stops in a "V" shape for more travel and a progressive stop.

so these springs lowerd your car that much? pretty good. but 250lb is quite a bit, thats what, a 150% increase over stock...(rear is 100 right??)

yeah the g-force tri-link & panhard kit was designed to run very low, hence the low ride height of their springs. I had eibach 200lb springs on there for a while since they rode higher and I did'nt have the RB lowering kit on there yet, but they were too soft...I had considerable understeer. I may need to go higher if these don't fix the understeer.

RB supplies allen head bolts, thats why they kinda looked like rivets Mar3. In my opinion, this is an excellent kit, and a sawzall worked well for me, i think sears is selling s reciprocating saw for $69.95 right now.

Wow, if i had the know-how that you guys do, i'd definately be doing this!!!

Problem is, i'm not much of a track-racer (yet), so i think for this car i'll just do the normal stock-system upgrades.

I already have the eibach kit on my car, but you're right. It rides high. I still have about 1/4 to 1/2 inch wheel gap.

But at least its even front and rear!!!

Hmm, are the advantages to this that great that it justifies the extra work? Is this something that only a track car would benefit from.

I read the description on RB's site and seems like a really good idea. However would this be worth it on a car that is mainly a daily driver and is going to be autocrossed a few times a year (hopefully)?
