One oil line came off the Nikki carb. Should I panic?
I recently purchased a '79 Rx-7 with 80k miles that has generally been treated well, but I noticed a lot of "gunk" under the carb. I thought the carb might be leaking, so I started removing it for a rebuild. I found one of the oil feed lines had pulled away, and had been coating the base of the carb in oil. I have no idea how long it's been like that...but it's clear that only one rotor had been getting its supply of oil. Otherwise, the car seems to run fine. Should I panic over this issue? I'm new to the rotary experience, but know that lubrication is critical for these engines.

When I bought my '80, I had it for three thousand miles before I paid attention to why it wasn't using oil. The MOP was dead and not adding oil to the engine.
It ran fine, I started premixing, everything stayed fine.
Who knows how long the PO drove it like that! The car had only 89k, so ?
