Is it best to use "ashless" 2-cycle like Royal Purple? I'm about to order a case of something and want to get it right the first time.

Any 2 stroke is designed to burn, but if you have emmissions restrictions, go ashless, I like Amsoil synthetic 2 stroke but it gets expensive

What you said "Amsoil synthetic 2 stroke" is what my brother got today, but it says semi-synthetic. It is ashless.

The big bottle rang up for $4.something and even the guy at NAPA was knowing it wasn't right. He let it go, though. I'll have to check back and see if they corrected it.

if you go with dino oil I noticed that JASCO stuff is way better running than the TCW-3 stuff. TCW3 is about as thick as 20-50 and the JASCO qualified stuff is like 5w. It seems to mix and burn better in my car. There was a huge thread on ausrotary a while ago.

good read
