Question Omp

Ok, got a quick question for all you experts. Im new to rotaries so please bear with me, im learning. I have a 12A and was looking at my oil mtering pump. It moves fine and looks decent, but when i look at a 13B, theres oil lines running to the rotor housings. My 12A OMP doesnt have any lines or fittings or holes in the rotor housings. Does the 12A do this internally? Thanks!!! Shawn

dude u need to start premixing immediately, and look to see if the holes where the OMP used to connect to the carb(unless urs is aftermarket) are plugged... ur motor will not be happy very shortly if u keep running it without OMP...

I'm not well versed on the 13B, but the 12A shouldn't have any lines going from OMP to the rotor housings, only to the carb. If those are in place, that's all you need to worry about...unless it's not getting oil through those lines, but that's another story.

The lines are going to a T and then into the carb. Those are in place. Can I unhook it and see if im getting oil through them? At least my car is down for paint and rewire so im not running it without premix or oil. Thanks for the help!!!! Shawn

Sure, you can disconnect them to see if they are pumping. A few minutes won't kill an engine. I don't imagine they are having any trouble, though. But, testing them will give you one less thing to worry about!
