Thumbs up Okay, i have a mild dillemma...

first of all, did i spell dillemma correctly? i hope so, i'm kind of a spelling freak.

second...

I am planning to buy a motorcycle this summer (June).
What motorcycle you ask? A 2002 Aprilia RS50!!!! wahoo!!!
i can't wait. it's slow, but it has awesome styling and it's italian!!! it corners like nobody's bidness and it sounds funny (two stroke). hey, it's like my rex in every way except the italian bit. ahahhaha.

anyway, i have to save a good amount of money until then. (i intend to pay cash) but, i forsee myself needing new tires by then. there is no point in buying new 13" tires, i should just buy new tires and rims! at least that's the way i look at it. so, what should i do? what should i buy and where should i buy? or should i just get new 13" tires to hold me out?
i am confused!! but, yeah, what should i do?
thanks
Josh

2 strokes..... hum...
you could also try to find some SE 15' wheels (with brakes and etc), they can also come with tires that can hold longer than yours

Bike looks good. I've been spoiled by my uncles Ducati 750 SuperSport Desmode. Nasty bike. I love pulling on 900RR's with a bike that is smaller than my GSXR600.

About your wheel and tire prob. If you want 15" wheels, do the -SE swap. Check out a JY. If you want to stay in the 13" or 14", get Panasports. Very light and they look good.

yeah

i need to get something cheap.
there aren't too many JY with 7's around here. maybe i'll just see about getting some cheap 13" tires.

but yeah, i am so stoked about the bike. and it will also help me with learning about tuning it, because it's so small and simple.

Stay with the 13's, you'll save money and you'll keep that neck-snapping acceleration! Jason

How strong are they, will they bend when potholes are hit?

ALL wheels bend on a WINNIPEG POTHOLE go around them they eat 1/2 ton trucks. I thing we just solved your sagging front end problem too.

just to get by, you might check at some used tire places. find some with a decent amount of tread, get all 4 for less than $100, then when money situation is all figured out, get the new rims and tires. you'd be surprised at how good some tires are at the used places.

Black's junkyard off of exit 9 going toward albuquerque has a million first gens. The guy there offered to sell me all 4 original 13" rims for my 7 for $100. The bum that sold me the car took of the original rims and replaced them with crummy little steel ones. Is $100 a good deal?

If the wheels are in good condition and there is some tread left on the tires, try to talk him down a bit. I just bought 4 15x7 chrome wheels with decent tires(225/50/15) for my Probe from a JY for $125, he was asking $150.
