Oil Pump Chain?

possibly.........................the oil pump chain drives the oil pump which also drives the distributor. so if you put a new oil pump chain and didnt line upi the marks then yes it would cause the car not to run because its out of time. to find out turn the engine over by hand until the leading timing mark is lined up on the timing pointer and pull the distributor cap off, the little arrow on the rotor button should be pointing forward.

Drittens, you need to provide more info on how it is not running. A quick check to see if the dizzy is turning, take the cap off and rotate the engine. If the rotor turns, then the gear drive system is correct. That doesn't mean that the dizzy is in the correct position though.
There are no marks to line up for the oil pump and chain, only the internal parts of the oil pump itself.

I tried to get it going clockwise correct? I am going to assume that it has carbon locked because w/ a large breaker bar and force it still wont budge either way, so I guess I need to take care of that before I can do this....
