Oil pressure at ZERO

Hey guys I did a search and found out alittle info but I need a little more.
I have an 85 GSL-SE. It's completely stock w Ac. .. I do have an oil leak at my oil cooler, a hairline crack due to overtightening. Everytime I turn on the car I first check my oil level, and add as needed, I have never let it get anymore then 1qt low... I am just waiting for the new oil cooler to arrive(allready bought one)
Now my question is this my oil pressure,( only happened twice) sometimes would go down to 0psi, for like 20 seconds then kick back up to about 60psi at 3000rpm, at idle I'm at 40 I am within range normally, but what would cause my oil pressure to drop like that? I bring the RPM's up when I saw it hit 0psi but it did nothing... Like I said this has only happened maybe 2 at the max 3 times.. I've only had the car 2 weeks. I love my new baby I dont want to F*ck her up..... Thanks ahead for you r help.............

You may have a bad wire connection on the oil pressure sending unit. Check and clean it. As far as the cracked bungs on the oil cooler, I have them welded with good success. While you're changing out the fmoc, it's a good time to replace the hoses. I have mine made up at the local hydraulic shop, less than 50 bucks for both lines.

When you reinstall the lines, use new crush washers, tighten the lines down by hand, then a 1/4 turn with a wrench. Start the engine, check for for leaks and slowly tighten the fittings till the leaks stop while the engine is running.

hey had my RX for about a month, first thing I noticed were coolant leaks and Oil Leaks, actually this weekend I'm putting in new O rings, and a new gasket under my filter, my pressure actually goes a little low sometimes when in neutral, but it usually kicks back up to around 25 lbs or so when idling if the car is warmed up good and proper/
