Oil pressure safety switch

So I recently got my new engine going and and would like to protect my investment by installing an oil pressure safety switch and warning light.

I already have a guage but I would like to go the extra step and install both a warning light and a ignition cutout (rather than the fuel pump), but I do not want to have three seperate sending units. I would like the light to come on at about 25-30 lbs and the cutout to come on at about 15-20 lbs.

So, does anyone know of a two stage adjustable oil pressure switch I could use to control the light and the ignition cutout?

Does such an animal exists?

Is there a simple way to accomplish this that I am overlooking?

Any suggestions are welcome.

yes there is and it is called oil pressure safety switch. tap it in the rear banjo bolt or similar and re-wire the ignition system with the oil pressure sensor switch controlling the low-voltage or terminal 85 or 86 of automotive or fog light relay. there are several brands at summitracing.

Thanks, for the info but....

I had already looked at all of those and none of them are two stage that will let me have a warning light at one pressure and ignition at another lower pressure. I have searched extensively for "two stage oil pressure switch" and have come up empty. I would like to avoid installing two different switches if I can. I will end up with oil pressure switches hanging all over my engne, not good.

check out quick car... I'm running there mechanical gauges with built in warning lights. Use that for your warning light and your standard sender for the cut off.

Then either get new oil lines OR switch to oil-to-water cooler (as in 83-85) so you dont worry too much about a broken oil cooler line.
