tap a fitting to the banjo bolt in the rear side housing. This will allow you to retain the stock oil pressure gauge.

If youre not gonna use the stock gauge, just put it there. Other than that, there are no existing holes. You will either have to drill and tap, or get a sender block from somewhere.

The stock factory oil gauge is electrical, and the sending unit is just below the oil filter. It's that mushroom shaped thing that screws into the housing. The water temp sensor is also right next to it.
Incase you don't know the difference, mechanical gauges, (which I'm guessing you got) run off of a direct physical connection to what they are measuring. In this case, oil is routed through a nylon tube which runs through the firewall and into the mechanical guage. The oil presses agains the gauge to get the needle to move. Electric, on the other hand, uses a sensor that converts the physical oil pressure into a voltage that will vary according to the pressure. From there wires can be run to a gauge that displays the voltage variance, which, to us, is read as pressure changes.
I installed a mechanical oil gauge in my racecar. I just retapped the sending unit hole, which is kind of dangerous, but hell, I'm lazy like that.

I've got the racing beat block and I can't figure it out. I have an 85 with the cooler under the filter and it has three screws/bolts that attach it to the motor.

The adapter plate had holes for two screws, not three.

I also can't figure out how to make the screws long enough to fit through the block. Maybe someone who's done it can help us out.

The RB kit should already come with longer bolts..depending upon which model 7 you have.

The RB plates are for the non-water cooled versions. You'll have to go to an air-cooled setup to use it.

Hmm, I had heard the outlet where the stock guage gets it's signal is just 1/8 npt. I havent done this, so I cant confirm. But if it is, then it would be extremely easy to just buy an npt to -an fitting, and run stainless hose back to the oil pressure guage.

yeah, my stock one stopped working, and I had this one new in the box lying around, and a nice little place under my radio for it, so I was just going to put it there. So ok, is this place accessable without removing anything other than the old sensor? because under the oil cooler looks cramped as hell, plus I still dont even know what im looking for...any diagrams, pics, ?
thanks, jeff b
