Oil Pressure Gauge

OK, quick question for you all. I have an Autometer oil pressure gauge and sender unit laying around from another car. I assume the sender doesn't fit the threads on the rx-7 engine. Can anyone point me to an adapter fitting to allow me to use this sender unit?

Thank you

If the sensor is a male 1/8" or 3/8" NPT pipe thread, then Mazdatrix has an adaptor for this. PN 11801 is for '79 or earlier and PN 11802 is for '80-'92...now trade the Holley for a Mallory...

Eheheh, hey thanks man. Yes, it's a 1/8" NPT fitting, so I will order the Mazdatrix part. Ya, I kinda wish I had ordered the Mallory fuel pump now. I haven't heard how loud the holley pump is yet, but I'm not holding my breath.

Anyways, I can always slap a NOS sticker on the holley pump and sell it to someone on 5.0 windsor corral.net for more than I paid

For my oil pressure guage I just got a T and attached the autometer guage sender on to it... as well as the stock sender. It all fit. So both guages work. It's a Massive difference between both!!

Definitely install it and report the results. I may be wrong, after all, on how loud a Holley Blue is and we'll never know 'til someone pipes up that isn't already biased towards the pump. Enlighten us...

I keep getting this server busy message. Mucho traffic here...it's all good though love this place.

Hey Mar3 you are scaring me from buying that pump man...are you seriously suggesting that the mallory is much better? I really didn't know that it was much better eventhough I had one before but I thought it was overkill for my car. it was a 140gph pump...but it was quiet really quiet.

I guess I'll wait on Crafoo's install report

Talking to the previous owner of my car, I was told the fuel pump is a 9psi holley, (don't know the flow rate). Not sure if this is close to the pump you are looking at, but it is far from quiet. You can easily hear it over the engine noise inside the car or standing near it outside. If you want a quiet pump, I don't think I'd suggest it

i've got a holley red... it's not as loud as the dual facet setup on my old se. the main thing is: make damn sure you use the rubber gasket things they give you! make extras if you're worried! one under where the clamp clamps on the pump body, and one under the between the mounting plate and your 7. or use thicker rubber material... that'll help. i've seen stuff 1/4" thick that'd do nicely. the less metal to metal connections you have, the quieter it'll be.

my friend has a holley, dont know which one, but it it loud. and it gets annoying after a while. but if you have something to compensate for the loud pump, say a big street port or a louder stereo, you should be fine.

Got the holley pump today. Going out to buy the fuel line fittings and hopefully install it tomorrow after work.
