Oil pressure at 1K rpm
Idle op should be between 12.8-38.4, per the FSM. With idle being 750 rpm, 1k wouldn't be much more.
Why the concern and what are you using to measure it?
Damn nice sig, but I hope this isn't an emulation question.

your oil pressure probably shouldnt exceed 1000psi to avoid popping your hydraulic hoses or damaging seals...
that is of course conjecture from a person learning more about electronics than mechanics. i personally dont feel the engine is capable of making more oil pressure than it would safely handle. beyond that, too much oil is never enough.. if the pressure is too high, start shifting at 8 or 9k.. that'll drop it down.
or consider using thinner viscosity oil.

and i think using thinner viscosity oil is a sound reccomendation, especially in the winter when it would be difficult for cold, thick oil to flow through the bearing clearences, and those tiny, tiny OMP hoses.
(they make us elec.s take fluid dynamics too.)

On a forum such as this, facial expressions and speech intonations do not come across. What you may see a sarcasm, others may interpret as factual information. I have read a number of your posts and they have given me the impression that you like to post, but are not knowledgeable about many of the topics you post on. The humor or sarcasm has not been there for me to see.
I'm not trying to dog you. Humor has many subtle nuances that come across better in person. It can be very difficult to accomplish successfully in a setting such as this. The unfortunate part is, for those that don't see the humor, or know better, they can take your posts as being factual.
The use of the smiles/emoticons can help distinguish what is being said as factual or humor.
Read some of FBII's posts (the woot-woot man himself). He comes across as loony bin escapee many times, but he does have some very good knowledge carb/turbo setups.
Just keep in mind that what you post, someone is going to take it as the 'Truth', even if it is said in jest.
