Oil Pans

I'm building an s4 TII motor to go into my 85 GSL. I have what I thought was a 12a oil pan. I believe its an N304-10-700 (federal, Canada) oil pan GSL SE. I ordered an N305-10-700a (california spec) oil pan for 85 GSL-SE. And the only difference is the n305 oil pan has no oil temp sensor near the level sensor. (which I now know is because cali spec cars never came with sub zero starting assist.)

I thought my pan was a 12a pan and my question is whats the difference in length between a 12a pan and an SE pan? Should be what about an inch?

Yeah, the 13b housings are 10mm larger than a 12a, so 20mm total length which is just under an inch.
I don't have a SE pan free, otherwise I'd measure it and give you the overall length, that will tell you which one you have for sure..

Yeah the pan I have and the brand new one are the exact same length. I've figured it out, the new one is an n305 california spec and the one I have is a n304 federal, Canada spec. Both gsl-se pans. I thought it was a 12a pan because my buddy thought it was he just pulled it off the shelf and gave it to me and I totally forgot that 12as are smaller lol.

I've got it cleared up though. Brand new SE pan was only 90 dollars my cost
