Oil pan removal

Does the oil pan come off without removing anything else?

I got a 13B installed in a 1980 rx-7 and looks like i either have to remove a front link or raise eng in front??

Thanks, Steve

drain the oil first, then just take all the bolts off.

Your gonna have to remove upper and lower radiator hoses. The mount for the motor, and eaise the entire motor up a little. Disconnect the wire couplers on the oil pan and start removing 10mm bolts... ooops dont forget to drain oil while your at it

Mike: How much of a PITA is it to get that pan off in your opinion? I know the procedure, just don't know if it's worth my time to do the gasket myself (I have to change mine as well) I just feeling a little lazy

just undo the steering linkage that bolts to the frame rail and turn it down to the ground, then use a socket wrench for most of the 10mm bastards then the ones up front use a regular wrench. i dont see a need to take off coolant hoses? or undo the motor unless your a *****... hehehe

I'm on my way out to do it right now. I'll likely remove the steering linkage vs. lifting the engine. Not looking forward to this.

@rx7passion - According to Jeff at Jeff's automotive (who I spoke with yesterday on the subject), he prefers to lift the engine a little bit. Personally, I don't think he's a *****.
