this is actually the one time where the additive will do something! thicker oil won't do anything.

that is an option, but turbo swap is a WAY bigger job than taking the 12A apart and putting it back together.

to use a Volvo example, rebuilding the 12A is like doing a headgasket in an 850 (actually the 12A is probably easier), the turbo swap is like starting with a non turbo manual 850, and ending up with a turbo stick...

after seeing this guy in the museum, an 850 is on my short list, btw

Thanks for the info J9fd3s

Will try some lucas additive?

Also in regards to a t2 swap, It's always been my plan to do it and I figure now since it's leaking pretty bad and instead of doing a rebuild just do a whole new setup, since from the start I wanted to do a t2 swap due to Canada's regulations and whatnot the car no longer needs an e-test and I pretty much have free reign to do whatever I want.

I'm ok with the challenge is what I'm trying to say.

I guess when and if this all happens I will donate or let my 12A go to someone who needs/wants to rebuild a decent known running one.

The 850 platform is extremely modular, so it's easier than you think, I have a manual tranny at home begging to be put in.. Might have to wait now!

Also anyone interested in Volvos should message me haha, I'm fairly knowledgeable in that department. They're great cars.

Do it! Mine has about 313000km and it ran a 15.33 1/4 mile and I drove it home.. And it's auto!

You'll probably have better luck finding an 850 wagon cheap especially a turbo manual, because USA, there's nothing here.

But lucky for us up here I scored an 850R tranny which means I get the viscous type lsd

Anyways enough Volvo talk.

Is a T2 swap harder for a GSL than it would be for an SE, I mean.. finding an SE here in Canada is damn near impossible.
