oil guage

my 82 gsl's oil guage-stock- goes from 65 to 0 to 30, sits at zero, then at 60, you get the point. I assume its only the guage, but how can I be sure its not the oil pump? If it is the guage, how can you fix this?

you can get another sender unit from a junkyard.

it attaches toward the back of the block, its a gold thingy i dont remeber what its called. but it just unscrews. try that.

or try an aftermarket guage, it will come with a new peice that replaces the sender thing im talking about.

if its the guage it self, i dont know how you would go around fixing it.. i guess you could just swap out the whole cluster.
