Oil cooler transplant?

Has anyone gone to a SA oil cooler in a GSL-SE? I have the typical leak that persists despite two attempted weld repairs. I scored an SA oil cooler off eBay. Any recommendations?

new lines and no banjo bolt and plan your mounting so it does not end up like mine.

What happened to your SE cooler? I have an SE cooler that's in good shape, but I don't see where it could crack - is this common among the SE coolers? Is it more common for the SE cooler to crack than the air oil coolers?

juts took off my oil cooler..it had 6 cracks!! yes 6!!.. It was leaking bad so I had to do some thing with it..Ihad a buddy weld it and he got most of it..it still leaks a bit but not bad enough for me to take it off again ...my other friend (condore) had one crack, had it fixed and it does not leak at all.. SUCCESS!!!!...and yes, it is common for the "se" coolers to develop a crack. cjf

It's been done but it's not pretty. You have to either bend the oil cooler or dent the crap out of the radiator since the SA lines exit straight back instead of at an angle.
