TN oil cooler issues

sorry if there is a thread about this prior to mine, im currently for some odd reason not able to get search??
but i'll ask tech about the problem

okay im trying to take off my oil cooler and the problem is
neither standard nor metric works
the nuts fall somewhere in between 9 and 10
so there's no way of getting them off, or tightning them

i was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem before, or just me?
i've seen ads on t.v for those k-tel (allgator teeth?) sockets, would those work??

thanks very much sorry again if these has been gone over before im not able to search.

It looks like 15/16th will do it on the engine side, but it is a little loose, and 7/8th is too tight. The highest I had was 21mm and it wouldn't fit?

if you're talking about the bolts on the mounts, it's 10mm for me.

Are you talkng about the banjo bolts on the cooler? Pretty sure it was 22 or 23mm, but i cant quite recall. Chances are quite good its metric as pretty much everything on these cars is.

EDIT: 90% sure its 23mm, especially considering 15/16 is loose and 7/8 is tight. That means its in the middle at 23mm......

question are you using a socket or a wrench if they have been just slightly rounded this problem will arise if you go with a six point 10 mm it should solve your problem have this problem all the time with mine on allot of different bolts and nuts good luck
