No matter how short or long the piece that I am trying to attach is it seems to kink, im trying to attach the line from the side of the housing to the lower beehive connection... Any tips on how to get these kinks out of the line?

 

I think you will have to pick up the molded one to get it to work correctly.

 

are you serious? That sucks if thats the way it is...

 

FWIW, I am planning on replacing these coolant lines soon as they appear original on my car. I am planning on getting marine hose that has a wire in it to prevent the kinking. Dunno yet if it will work but my mantra is Stay Away From the Dealer........even if it means a little extra work...........

 

I buy molded hoses from the local autoparts store and cut them up and splice them to make them the right shape. They do have to be molded hoses.

 

You can also try heat modling not something I recomend to a new person I did it and it worked okay for the nasty little afterburner hose on my 12a new one from the dealer was 80$ I made mine fore .87 cents all you have to do is get something solid that is going to be the same shape then pull the rubber hose over it and then take a butane torch and slowly heat the rubber hose from about 1-2' then when the rubber is hot and molded to the shape you want it cool it down in a buket of water. Note this is the same process just like metal shaping only you have to be very very carefull the rubber heats up quick and will burn off leaving holes in the lines. This is a talent that you must master and it will take you quite a few trys for a beginer to master but it does work. Just be patient and you work the project dont let the project work you.
