Offset?

Another rim question frome me. For one what is the bolt pattern? 110 or 114.whatever?

Doesn't really matter. Found a real nice set of five spokes like I've been looking for, comes in both 110 and 114.x.

Only problem is, I want to keep a relatively stock wheel size. These come in as low as 14", but the offset is +35. Is that useable in our cars?

Thanks in advance, Danny.

Only if you use a spacer. The stock wheels are +15 I believe.

It depends what model you have. S through GSL are 4x110mm and the GSL-SE is 4x114.3 I believe. If you want a 5 lug wheel then you need an adapter. Also S through GSL has a 13 inch wheel size and GSL-SE is 15 inches. Not sure of the offset of either

All this I know. Except the offset thing. If that's true, that's a bummer, big time.

You are correct about the offset.

you have to factor in the width of the wheel

why upgrade to aftermarket wheels and only go 14

15x7" on a non-se with +15 offset would be ideal, gsl-se's you need more like +35

its not so much the diameter of the wheel as the width, because the higher you go in diameter 15", 16" etc, the lower profile tire you choose making the overall diameter still similar to stock. hope that makes sense to you

Sorry, I'm confused.

I don't like really big rims. But, I LOVE a nice five spoke, muscle style rim. I've found a set of 5 spokes, at 110x4, with a 35mm + offset that I like. They come in 14 and up. I'd LIKE to stay at 14 or fifteen at possible, but those two sizes only come in 35 offset. The bigger rims come in more offsets, but I don't want bigger.

I just don't like the big rim look

BTW, I have an 82 GS with a GSL rear end.

Go with the 15" and use a 205/50/R15 tire size and you will be really close to stock diameter with your speedo off a little at higher speeds. Roughly 5 mph at 100 mph. It will give you the good muscle style look too. If I could load up pics worth a **** I would show ya. I am running that set up with a 5 spoke K-1 racing rim.

are you sure the wheels are 4x110? it is very rare to find anything in 4x110. just make sure you're not confusing yourself with wheels that are 4x100 and 4x114.3

Yes, completely sure. They come in 110 114.3 and 100. I could even use 'em for a 323 that I'm considering buying (100 bolt pattern on the 323).

I think the brand was Montegri or Montegi or something like that.

I don't buy anything unless I'm completely sure on EVERYTHING. Including if the 35mm offset is okay to use.

Pretty sure it's Montegi. Sears is the place where I saw them, and the salesman both told me and showed me in the book that it was 110 x 4 (as well as a shankload of other sizes).

It is sort of a ricery rim than I'd like, but my options are getting limited. Still nice five spokes.

Hm, yeah, I think it was Montegi SR 5 or something along those lines.

Do you have a link to the Kosei? Are they still sold retail, or only on stuff like ebay?
