Can someone tell me around what temperature should my stock 1985 12a RX-7's engine be running at? In 25+C weather the car runs right on half and goes past half when the air conditioning is on. I feel this is a bit to high but I just want to check to see if anyone actually knows the normal operating temperature.

mine is always around 1/6th the way up, even in hot weather, I have the stock mech. fan

 

180ºF or 82ºC is where most Tstats open. I'm not sure how much above that is conidered normal range though.
