noob question

I bought my Rx7 last week, and it has the most godawful yozo sounding muffler on it. I'd like to replace it with a RB muffler or full exhaust system, but I'm not sure if i have the skills to install them, especially the full exhaust system. I can change spark plugs and replace small stuff like fuel filters with no problems, my tools are limited to a nice socket set and basic stuff, I guess my question is how hard is it to put the muffler and the exhaust system on? 1 = spark plugs, 10 = rebuilding an engine

the racing beat system is bolt on. should be real easy. now as for what you have on there now i dont know you may have to cut it off if it welded on.

extremely easy. 4 bolts at the engine, 2 rubber hangers in the center, a hanger for the extension pipe, and two nuts for the muffler. easy easy easy!

It is straightforward, meaning not complicated and no special skills required. There may be a lot of little bolts holding on the lower heat shields, along with other bolts that could be rusty and frozen (get some penetrating oil). Be careful with the studs when taking off the manifold and installing the header. You need a way to lift up the car enough to get the pipes over the axle. Please be very careful and make sure the car is well supported and will not fall when you are underneath pushing and wrenching on it. That is the most important part.

I would think the only hard part would be finding a way to get the car high enough to get under there and do it...Not all of us have hydraulic lifts
