no spark

no spark

my 82 rx 7 has sat for over a year. i drove it to were i parked it. now it doesnt get any spark. i am not at all familliar with the electrical system. any help is apreciated. someone told me that if compression is low, this could effect spark.?

Nope... COmpression doesnt affect spark... Are you getting spark to only two plugs or no plugs?

if compression was low it would not effect spark! First cheak that the plugs are all clean and on properly. then i would cheak if u r getting spark from the coils, by taking off the 2 coil leads off the dizzy cap and put a srewdriver into them (the end of the leads) and put the srewdrivers close to a earth. (top the stut tower) and get someone to crank the engine over with the key. if you get spark, your problem will be in the dizzy somewere.
