This is why you should email us, Ryan.
2.5 will be fine.

(He's running an aftermarket pump.)

3.5 psi number is from dyno runs with a Facet fuel pump through regulator to bone-stock Nikki on Rotary Performance (Ari Yallon built) NA big streetport 12A with 2" primary header into 2.5" collectors going to 2.5" pipe all the way back with Eddy RPM muffler as a "pre-silencer" and two Flowmasters out back to quiet things down...at 4 psi, there was enormous break up at the top end stopping the run. Reset to 3.5 psi and it pulled cleanly all the way and held 7600 rpm on the dyno. That engine was in the blue 1980 RX-7.

The next week, it went to Kennedale.

The next week, it was totaled.

The engine now sits on a stand awaiting the death by nitrous of the 12a in Furious...
