Nikki flooding and adjusting issues

1983 RX7 FB

Hey Guys, total Nikki noob here. I've now tried 2 Nikkis that i resealed my self and i'm having issues Adjusting the way it runs. Right now it runs extremly rich to a point where it burns the Eyes and nose.

I removed the Rats nest, only keeping the Vacuum advance for the dizzi and the Vacuum for the Cruise Control. I removed the air pump and i have a 2.5 Inch Stainless exhaust. I've checked for Vacuum leaks (there aren't any otherwise it would be running Lean). I can turn the mixture screw in all the way and it still runs. I probably need another 2-3 turns to get to run right. I'm thinking that it either floods somewhere (even though i can't see anything) or i need to change jets.

I would greatly appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction.

Cheers

If by resealed you mean rebuilt, I hope you didn't use the new needles and seats from the kit. They tend to cause issues like this. Try putting the old needles back in and see how it goes.

I have not changed the Needle and seat. i did my research and the only thing i did to needle, seat and float is check the height and drop and it was all fine. the needles didn't seem damaged

Without the vacuum solenoid for the vacuum advance it won't work right. U will be pulling manifold vacuum all the time. Advancing distributor. Don't use vacuum advance. Mechanical advance is enough. Set trailing to 10° and leading to 0° at idle.
