Very true. It sucks that SCCA does not allow relocating the alt. I run my car in CSP, but if I were to use this kit, I'd have to move to SM2. Of course, I'd also lose the A/C, which I run until I reach the starting line.
If the SCCA would allow relocating the alt, I'd move it to the other side, where the air pump used to be.

Why would they ban alternator relocation ? What's the benifit other than appearance and a somewhat small weight adjustment.

Well, I received the kit today! I'll try and install it tomorrow (weather permitting) and post some pics. It's a very solid set-up. I have absolutely no worries about this thing failing. The main bracket that attaches to the engine is 1/2 an inch thick, and the 'pivot' bracket is 7/8. The packaging was excellent too! - always a bonus.

Ok, ok. Tomorrow's supposed to **** down rain, but I'll try to take some pics. I have one issue with the set-up. It doesn't allow me to run dual belts. I've got a few ideas to fix this.
