New paint

I just got my car back after waiting almost 2 weeks for it to get painted. I am really happy with how it looks. I only have one picture right now (was showing it off all day and now its dark out) and my friend who took the pic cant work a camera, but ill have better ones up tomorrow.

I put in a "before" picture so you can all see the huge improvement.

The paint job costed $2800. I had a small bit of rust on the rear fender and on the inside (in the door jam) of the drivers side door. There was a couple of small dents here and there, and the metal behind the hatch was rippled. I also had the side and window mouldings painted flat black.

I was flipping through the book of colors and picked that one out. I dont really know why I didnt go with the same color as my avatar, it just kinda happened. I like this color a lot though.

The car in my avatar was silver before I photoshopped it green.

Looks good. Funny coincidence, like Rich's (whiteshadow) car. Green is not bad on either one.

niice, my color is ALMOST as light as that when looked at in certian lights.

sometimes its really blue, other times its really green... but its not color changing paint.

i'm looking at colors for my 79 project... i need to get a book of House of Kolor paint chips to look at, cause i love their colors... and i'm sure i'd find something unique and that i really like from them.

Yeah, it looks more blue in the pics than it does in person. Ill try taking a pic of it with less light.

Low light didnt really make a difference.

thanks... it gets even greener than that... like i said, its almost as light as your car.

on a scrap of paper i found in a box that i got with the girl, it said 91.5 Ford GT Cayman Blue... so i think that may be the color that it is.

i didnt like it at first, but i love it now. I like your green, i've not seen a color like that before... especially on a first gen.

I got it painted at maaco. I know, that dosent sound very good, but I know a couple of people who have had thier cars painted there and they said that maaco does a good job as long as you dont get the $300 special. It turned out really good, so I guess they were right.

I think that the car looks beautiful and thre color can only be appretiated in person. there is only so much a camera will pick up. The metal flake is very deep looking.

nice car, but mine will be more sexy and a hell of a lot faster . . . . . . ( maybe someday?)
