New Muffler

Well dropped her off this morning to get the new muffler put on. It is the AeroTurbine 2540. Will post up some pics and vids when I get her back tonight or tomorrow morning. Hoping for the best, they are re plumbing the car to get a good straight shot into the muffler for the best effect. Before I had just an 18" by like 5" BOMZ can on there, now it will be just the aeroturbine, if it is still a little too noisy I am going to put a RB silencer or something on it. But in reallity as long she is a little quieter I won't have any issue with it since she was putting out around 90db outside the car under load, (100db in the cab) as measured with a radioshack db meter.

YES, please make sure to post at least a MP3. Very interested in this. Checked out the website and was very intrigued.

Ok, with just the muffler it is a bit loud. We registered ~96db at 34ft w/ the radioshack meter. Not too bad overall does need an additional silencer, I am opting for a RB pre-silencer. The sound is a bit tinny but still has enough bass so that you can feel it. Will get some sound up by the weekend.

Note: I think they would probably work better if not possitioned after the axle, tho I got a good 6" or so of straight pipe there I think they benefit from having pipe on both ends.

Overall I am not disappointed for it being the only muffler on the car, but not a good way to run it unless you like everyone looking at you.

remember i told you that it was going to be loud On a turbo car it was loud, so i knew on a rotary it would be even louder.

on my car so much for it being a sleeper, now everyone just thinks the muffler fell off

lol ya, I had no doubt it would be loud by itself, I mean these little rotaries just love making noise.

I got mine half off, but ya, just need to setup a host spot. But I wanted to make note that in my daring drives I have noticed that my mpg has gone up by like 1-2 and throttle responce is a bit better. Still too loud to run solo.

well my idea is to put an RB silencer on her, since they stand up to the test of time.

Well you cant complain, the muffler you have is doing exactly what its meant to do. Free flow and slightly tune.

there is a local shop that sells them, and they had one off another car that came to an unfortinate end. I am running a race header with a 2" collector going into 2.5" piping out the back.
