new intake!

i have a 85 gsl-se,so i need to know how to put an apc air intake filter on! as we all know,if the air-flow is dirupted through the factory intake...the car wont start! so, i know it has been done,all i need is to know how..................

buy the adapter for a 2nd gen off ebay.. then just put it on yours. voila.

Spectre part # 8141 available thru auto zone will be much cheaper rx7doctor

Don't waste your money! I put the adaptor on and ran a K&N with no improvement. I've since gone back to the stock aribox and a K&N flat filter. Same performance, nice stock look. You will not get a change in sound over the stock box either, to get this (Honda sound) you'd need a single plate throttle body on your 7.

If you change intakes w/a newer one, or remove the emissions you pretty much have to run a cone filter.

They certainly don't look stock, but most people think mine looks alright .

i just cut my stock air intake to a 360 design, it works awsome... I run a K&N as well... I also have a louved and cowled hood

A cone filter won't help a stock -SE breathe easier.
The big restricion on our cars is the AFM.
Unless you go with an aftermarket ECU and get rid of the AFM altogether, but then you're talking a fair bit of $$
