New FB owner... is this normal (have searched/FAQ'd)
Hey guys, just picked up my first FB (85 GSL-SE). I've owned an FC for 6 yrs, and have an FD since this year.
Anyways, is it normal for the radio to NOT turn off when you turn the key to off? I can even take the key out. The radio has an on/off/vol button that turns it off, BUT the LCD stays lit (green) and the clock stays on.
Is this normal?

factory radios lights are all yellow/orange color. Since this is an aftermarket radio, the person that has wired it must of wired it right off the battery. It will need to be rewired to a power wires that shares ignition power.
It seems like a factory radio. It has the manual slider EQ and all. It's silver and says dolby on the tape deck, but it doesn't say Mazda. The LCD is backlit green, and the EQ sliders each have a green light.
You have one of two items going on here. Either someone has rewired the radio, or the ignition switch is acting up.
I'm gonna go with the 1st, since you said the clock stays lit. I thought the factory radio's didn't have clocks built in, since these cars normally had a digital clock elsewhere in the dash.
