Good luck getting home w/o getting pulled over!!

You'll be wishing you had a quiet car in 2 months tops.

(im going back from my 3" custom exhaust to the 2.5" racing beat muffler!!!! I'm 20, and seriously starting to have hearing problems from driving! not good!)

My exhaust is LOUD. But ya know what. Everyone tends to like it. I mean except the old people that live next to me.

yes.
Both in a theatrical context and a live-sound (concerts) context...
You've heard of set designers and stage hands? I do the same thing, but with sound....

So of course I'm interested in hearing this giant exhaust we're all talking about

I like quiet exhausts. Quiet cars are faster on the street, since you can use more throttle.

I thought he meant you wont get noise penalties for noise, therefore give it more gas. But now that you ask, Im wondering.......

yeam my mustang has open headers basically .

it looks like this,
Y
| <------where the cat and dump is located
^

goes from headers to Y pipe, the cat is on the single pipe, then it branches off into two tubes again. Right before the cat i got a dump put on. but i got a cap made at the same time, so i can put the cap on and it runs like stock exhaust, or take the cap off and run super loud exhaust. it sounds like i have a built motor, but its all stock. $45. $20 for the dump and $25 for the labor.

Start yours up with a portable CD burner(or something) and post it so we can all hear it.

There isn't any more detail. You can drive harder without making as much noise. How much more info is there to need?

Hey,I'm back! There is NO way I'd get a proformance exaust after this! This sounds sooooooooo good! And I live in N. St.Louis county...If you don't know, that means the cops have no time to mess w/petty crap!Pretty much every one I know have a set-up like mine, the're boingers though!Plus, unless you get on it it's really not that bad.I'm not the kinda guy that wants a quiet race car,my sound system is almost as loud as my exaust!

As far as Quiet cars being faster,I for one don't hot rod threw neighborhoods! So,the sound alerting the cops isn't an issue! If I were speeding on a Highway...,I don't see a quieter exaust stopping the radar gun!

I hope you have no plans of going fast in this car? I will respect it if it is purely for show, but anymention of racing and I will have to get new pants for laughing so hard.

Couldn't have said it any better. I just finished putting a RB Header, high flow cat and a Supertrapp (all 2-1/2" tubing) tonight. I drove the thing about 15 miles and have decided I'll be taking at least half of the discs out tomorrow. I actually parked the thing down the street cause it was just too damn loud to drive down my street.
