Exclamation Amend my last comment

I have NO connection with the company other than they using my car as a test mule.

Do you think that they could make a polyurthane version of this body kit?

Considering how it fits to my FB, I would bet it fits your SA as well. The primary question I would have is top inside edge of the rear bumper considering the SA is open where the FB is closed off there. Check with them.

They're a mass production shop. So I'm pretty sure you can only get it in fiberglass.

Yes, both front and rear are different. But, you can direct swap the front and rear from a sa to a fb

Ok, kit is done. Final pictures

Finish work to the rear bumper is done. The mounting ledge for the rear bumper pretty much limits how creative the designer could get and still have a whole bumper replacement such as this.

Finish work in mounting it is done.

Painting is done.

See it at 7Stock.

Comments??

By the way, the Whale Tail is separate from Extreme Dimensions "Kit".

Fit and Finish work as well as painting to match was done by M1 Autobody in El Monte, CA 626 575-4835. Ask for Raymond.

I think it looks great. If i had the extra money laying around i would pick one up in a second. However i dont and building my 13B-PP up for drag racing is draining the bank. If they are looking to sponser a drag car i'm up for it.

I'm definitely no fan of the looks of it. I think its interesting that a company wanted to do something for the FB though.

"for the sa guys you will need to change you front lights to 81 up style side markers that is"

I have SA side lenses on the front since they sit tighter to the body. So no change needed there. As a former SA owner, the way the kit is designed no rear marker retrofit is needed. What an SA owner might have to do is get a FB rear mount bar set up (that sits under the FB rear bumper skin) off a pic a part car as that is what the kits rear bumper sits on.

Otherwise, should be a direct fit for SA owners.

One thing that is unique about it compared to most other full body kits out there is it is designed for those of us that prefer to eliminate the body side moldings. Note no fake moldings on the front and rear bumper.

im really disgusted with the way it tries to make the car look modernized.... the car looks beautiful with its stock lines and the wide-body race cars make it look soo sexy to have it on a street car. just simple fender flares, front splitter and a nice rear spoiler/lip will always win someone over... simplicity has always won me over as well as function over form

i'd say try to replicate the old-school body pieces including the #7 car above....

Sorry you're "disgusted" with my car. I guess you're not the type who body kit companies typically market to.

If you look at their web site, they already had the old school side of the equation covered. So, this was to address the other side of the market where I leaned on this project.

If you look at my Turbo Vert picture in my signature, you can see I also value maintaining the stock look in upgrading my rides. I just happen to enjoy playing in either field.

I know, it's a love (for some) hate (for others) relationship about body kits. Just like some only care for shear power damn the daily drivability improvements while others focus on improved performance balanced between power and daily drivability needs.

The place I draw the line is only wankles belong in Mazda RX anythings. Boingers and their cagillian moving parts don't.

Different strokes, as they say.

Eh. It's alright, don't really like the rear and the front looks okay. I've yet to see a 1st gen kit that looks really nice cept Dan S young but his you can't get anymore.

The rear was much worse until it was tweaked to what it is now. But I'll agree the rear doesn't measure up to the sides and front. I think including the Whale Tale makes the rear part of the result look better overall than if without the Whale Tail.

Using the lower rear valance I gave you probably would have looked better generally. But that would also have retained the stock bumper skin with it's fake moldings. So either way, if the front and sides were a 10 on a scale of one to 10, the rear would be less than a 10 either way. I'm sure it will be an ongoing debate which approach to the rear would rate lower, but I'm good with what I ended up with since it remains in the theme of the reference design.

Understand, the goal was to take their popular 2nd Gen GP kit and make a like version for the 1st Gen. Compare the two on their web site and you see what I mean.

Front and sides look great, very aggressive, but I would just ditch the rear. In my opinion it is just to "large" or something, its hard to describe. And I know it wouldn't fit with my exhaust.

Hopefully you start selling individual parts (vs a kit), and I might be a customer.

I'm not the seller

Extreme Dimensions is. I just let them use my car as the test mule.

But, I'm sure they'll sell the parts separately.

If you don't like the rear, you can always use the rear off the M1 Speed kit. I agree, the rear piece is a bit off, but their are folks out there that do like it. But definately a rear spoiler will make it the total package more agreeable to each other.

Mariah makes a nice product

I'm happy with my Whale Tale. But if I wasn't already invested in mine, I'd definitely consider theirs.

I'm really not a fan of their rear hatch replacement however. Trade off of resulting in extream blind spots isn't worth it.
