Wow, up from the past. Almost one year from the day of the last post to this thread. Good thing I was searching for some old threads of mine I caught this.

If I'm understanding your question, it's 17" from the bottom of the headlight opening to the bottom of the front lip.

Ah, I remember this thread. Even to this day I still wish they would have made the kit differently in the sense that you don't have to buy the entire kit for the cars bottom lines to even out. I would buy the front lip part of the kit in a heart beat if it evened out with the stock bottom sides of the car.. but unfortunately it's a significant drop so you need the side skirts to even it out. Hate the rear completely, and personally would never buy side skirts for the FB. Oh well.. maybe one day someone will revamp the front lip so it isn't as low...

The front is pretty cool...and the side skirts are ok....but the back is SICK.....in my opinion...i think you really need a whale tail...or at least a duck bill?

my car has a front air dam but i recently cracked it on a curb (not curb rash)....and thing is...my car wasn't even lowered....if you live out in open country or something it would be cool to have it lowered but in cities like LA/OC/IE there are a lot of bumps that u would be hitting ...not to mention the inconvenience you would face every time pulling into daily destinations....you live in OC area....im pretty sure u've seen some ghetto *** asian foos with lowered hondas pulling out of places with STEEP *** dips and totally scraping his ****...well think about it, that could be you...all that embarassment.. ESPECIALLY in a nice car! and yeah...you might be a good driver and can be careful...but theres always gonna be the 1 or 2 dips that are impossible to pass and it might be too late.. you have an fb man....do your best to keep it alive...just my opinion...nice kit btw..hope i see your car around my area of the OC sometime

I have trouble with curbs and parking logs, and driveway entrances with the stock front lip on my Z, and it's rubberized to take it.

I can't imagine how long (short) a hard lip would last around OC/IE.

thats why you put a strip of metal on the bottom of the kit so it doesnt scrape the actual kit. thats what i did on my old talon.

I gotta agree with most of the guys here that the front is nice and the side skirts are decent but the Rear is alittle overkill IMO. I would rock the front kit but I already have the mazdatrix front fascia so well just have to see.

Theres no point in buying just the front. When you apply the front air dam it has a significant drop in where the bottom of it sits in comparison to the stock bottom sides of the car. it looks bad, period. I'll see if i can find some pics to show how big the drop is without applying the side skirts..

Here's my car with just the front. There is a drop, you decide for yourself if you think it is too much.

Actually, I saw a silver FB with just the front dam on at DGRR08 and it looked really good. It hung lower than the rest as you said but it kind of suited the car.

Oh trust me i've seen quite a few cars that do that. Friends friends RSX type-S for instance has a similiar setup just a new front kit piece that sits lower and looks great! But for some reason when I saw it on the FB (considering the stock bottom sides of the car arent really aggressive looking.. just straight) it didn't look that great. I love the front piece of this kit to death and have wanted it for who knows how long but when a friend installed it and painted it to match the car without the sides/rear, it just didn't look right.

personal 1st gens look better with just the front dam.

when the time come I'll just be ordering the front.

That front air dam is truly inspired and a great looking piece. The side and rear are very similiar too the japanese samuri skirts everybody has.

if the sides/rear were as unique as the front I would order the set. but simple is the key.

I had that front before, that one has a very little drop that isn't too noticable. The drop on the kit advertised on this thread is a lot lower...
