need more power!
I found an old 85 around town and fixed up the body and got it repainted and it looks great. my only problem is that its pretty slow. i am really new to the rx7 and really have no clue what to do first to give me more acceleration and power. i really do not want to turbo it either.
i heard about changing the intake and exhaust. how much with those two things really up me.

Q. What kind of mods can I do to my 1st Gen to make it quicker?
Also, before doing power mods, make sure that the suspension and brakes are up to snuff. Power is nothing without control.

Welcome to the forum and the Darkside.
If you're subject to the Metro emissions testing, you're hosed. If not, you're choices are wide open for mods. As others have said, get the mechanicals up to par before modding, brakes, steering, and cooling.
First exhaust, then carb/intake mods. After that you will need to crack open the engine. In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, carb manual and other rotary related reading. Download whatever you need and start reading.
