long story short i bought a rx7 with a completely stripped interior, and i removed the interior from a parts car. i think obviously i'm missing parts, or completely missing something. i bought aftermarket carpet and as you can see in the picture, i dont have anything behind the bar to mount the carpet to.





any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Looks like your missing the frame that sorta molds the floor to the hatch area... In FB's there are actually storage bins..but IIRC the SA just had a hollow area where the FB storage bins would be. If you want the storage bins, get some pieces from a FB and put em in, but if you want it to look like a stock SA go out and find the SA frames. I believe they both have the same mounting holes so its your choice.
Then the bar will go on top of the frame and hold the carpet down along top ridge of the frame.

 

What he said, but you can't put bins in SA's due to a brace being in the way on the US cars.
