it all depends on what you want, if this isn't going to be your DD then I say 1/2 bridge or full bridgeport.

Search.

depending on how much you want to drive it.

i would probably go 4 port irons and half-bridge it.

Yea a 13B 4port is what i am leaning to. With a big street port. I have heard good things about this setup. Since your going carb I would say got 4port. ^^^^ agree Since it aint gonna be a DD you could go bridge but if something was to happen and it had to become the DD I hear a bridge is kinda hard as a DD.

You go with a four port because you can make more power by porting with a four port. The design of four ports is a lot more port friendly. With the limited amount of detailing you are providing about the car, I'm going to say you don't have the slightest clue what it would take to build up a bridgeport, so stick with a streetport. If you want to go with a bridge it requires a lot of upgraded parts to support the above 9,000 rpm "redline" if you will.

Atop of that you can make plenty of power on a big streetport without greatly decreasing gas mileage along with life expectancy of the engine.

Now comes the "what should have been said a long time ago" statement - Search bridgeport and search street port. Devour all information you come across.

Let's disect this one.......sentence..........at a time..........

Excelent idea to build your own motor. You will learn a TON and the sense of accomplishment is almost unrivaled.

A mild street port will show impressive results and still be a fun challenge. This definately won't be the last motor you build :-) learn from this one and go with the mild port job.

If you are attempting to port the motor i would suggest you go with a 4port motor. The 4port housings are going to be much more forgiving for a first time porter :-). The six port motors just don't have all that much material that can be reshaped.

Because of the questions you have already asked i would suggest you don't try to bridgeport the motor. it sounds like you know just enough at this point to be dangerous ;-) The bridgeport takes quite a bit more expoertise to build correctly and more importantly tune correctly.

Hope the advice helps.

But im going to sell most of it cuz i need some $......So i need a 4 port side housings. and im going to be drag racing it. so if i go with bridge port......what mods do i have to do to it???? Do i need difrent apex seals.....and what do they do with the o ring seal.....also what kind of HP gain will i git from a street port VS bridge port......Also can i use my 4 port side housings on my 13b?

Alright. This question was just asked earlier this week. Hit the search button and type in "bridgeporting my engine".

Yes you can use four port plates with your 13b.

Just to give you an idea about what other mods you have to do, yes you have to use other apex seals, you have to get your rotors lightened and clearanced considering the fact that at such high rpms the rotors will move towards the housings more, and create more destruction if they aren't clearanced, also hardened stat gears.

That's a lot of what you have to buy for the engine. Then bridgeporting the engine, then tuning it to the point where it will run. Its a **** ton of work. A **** ton more than streetporting.

My question is, why would you take an extraordinarily fun car to drive around turns and turn it into a straight line car only?

And I am going to say it one more time. SEARCH!
