Need help! Oil cooler adapter

I need to find an adapter that actually screws into the cooler and the other end has thread(.775 diameter, 1.5 metric pitch) that the hose can screw onto. Any links to websites that might be able to help me with this would be great. I tried machining my own but ultimately ended up throwing the pieces across the room :P

Is this for the water cooled oil cooler or the air type?

By the way, look on www.summitracing.com or even order a catalog. You can get a lot of ideas from their website and they'll probably have all the parts that you'll need too.

MMMmmmmmm........

Earl's sells the fitting I believe you want. Threads into the oil cooler and other end has threads you can thread braided line onto.

Now might be a good time to upgrade to -10 AN braided lines.

http://www.sevensonly.com can sell you all the fittings and hoses, ready to install for a competetive price.

The threads on the 79-82 style cars have 16mm x 1.5mm threads. The front cover on the block is 16mm x 1.5mm also, the rear housing is 18mm x 1.5mm.

I went to -10 AN lines for my cooler, and Racing Beat and MazdaTrix both sell the adapters I needed.

RotorMotorDriver I wont to do the conversion on my RX7 (82) but I'm concerned about stripping out the threads. When you removed the old fittings did you have any trouble removing them? I tried to remove mine and they are on there good any suggestions you can give me would be grate thanks

I just had half of the cooler hanging off the end of my porch and stood on top of it sideways and then kicked the wrench with my other foot :P

By the way, I just re-read this, and if youre looking for the stock replacement adapter, I have one that came out of the front cover, but they should be the same. I could ship it out to you if you need it. PM me .

My uncle got mine off with a "precision impact gun"...Whatever the hell that is. I think its a "gentle" impact gun. All I know is they came off real quick .
