Need Help With My Rx-7 Tires and Suspension!!!
Hi: My name is Alex and I leve in Guatemala City.
I have a First Gen, 1980 Rx-7 and I`m going to buy new tires for it.
I`m looking to buy as this way the tires:
Front: 215/50-13 Bridgestone
Rear: 235/50-13 Bridgestone
I`m also going to buy the Racing Beat springs for my car.
The question is: Are the Rear tires going to look to wide for the car???
Please, it`s a simple question, advise me because i`d never seen an Rx-7 like this...
Best Regards,
Alex

What rims are you using?

I`ve seen an Rx-7 right now with the tires that I want but it does not have springs.

I have BFGoodrich radial T/A's on my car, 205/60R13 on stock rims. The rears rub on the fenders when the suspension compresses. But my suspension probably compresses too far. The bump stops are gone. But anyway, I don't see the need to go any wider. Just a waste of money unless you are making a significant amount of power more than stock.

I will have to search for 225/50-13 on bridgestone or Hossiers, but I know here is to difficult to find them.

It runs quite good but I know if I had a 48 IDA it will run better but I don`t have the money right now and here in Guatemala is too expensive to find the parts to do it.
