NEED Help Gauge Pod ASAP

Got a 85 Rx7 and my speedo went out so I want to take the pod out and have a look I got the fron cover off and the trim but the pod won't pull out all the nuts all off it wiggles left to right but just won't come foward AHHHH!

Not sure about an 85, but my 83 has got a couple of screws behind the cluster. You can see them if you look up from the floorboard. Also did you unhook the speedo and rpm connections. If I remember right, they have very little play to slide forward. Good luck.

get a 3 1/2 " tach from auto meter and put it right in front of the factory tach it fits right in and looks great

Hey search the archives. There is a dash removal write up that outlines all the steps needed to take out the entire dash. You will only need it to take out the cluster but it should work. Sorry Can't remeber off the top of my head. There are a ton of connectors on the back so you might want to check and make sure that all connections are off.

You have to disconnect the speedo cable. It takes some wiggling to get to it.

You need to stick your hand up on the back side. The speedo cable connection has a tab you need to squeeze to unclip it from the metal collar on the backside of the gauge.

if you do waht i sugested as i did you don't have to go through all that you just wire it straight to the dist.
